What drugs should be used for people with 3mm polyp gallbladder?

Question
Hello doctor, when I went to the hospital, I had 3mm polyps in my gallbladder that sometimes cause pain. Can I ask the doctor if there is any medicine to treat my condition? Thank you doctor for your reply.

Hello. Gallbladder polyps are mostly benign and asymptomatic. There are indications for cholecystectomy with 10mm gallbladder polyps to prevent gallbladder cancer. There is currently no medication that can make gallbladder polyps go away. If your gallbladder polyp is about 3mm, you should have an abdominal ultrasound to check for polyps every 6 months.
Depending on the growth of the polyp size, the doctor will give you appropriate indications for monitoring or surgery. It is best to see your doctor to have your abdominal pain checked further. You can register for an examination at a Vinmec Health System hospital across the country.
Thank you for trusting Vinmec, looking forward to meeting you for more specific advice!
