Why does taking the drug Fugacar not stop the worms crawling out the anus?

Ask
Hello pharmacist! I discovered worm infection 1 year ago because I saw yellow worms 2.3cm long crawling out from the anus, I thought it was roundworm. Because I'm a girl, I'm embarrassed and don't dare to go to the doctor. I went to a pharmacy to buy fugacar, but it didn't go away, the pharmacist told me to take it once every 8 months, if I drink a lot, I won't be able to get rid of the worms. I have been taking the medicine for 1 year and 8 months, taking it 3 times, but still see worms crawling out from the anus. I'm very bewildered. Please advise me, why taking Fugacar does not cure the condition of worms crawling out of the anus? Thank you.

Answer
Hello.
Worms are intestinal parasites. There are many types of worms such as roundworms, whipworms, threadworms, pinworms... and each type causes different groups of symptoms. Mild can be abdominal bloating, loss of appetite, anal itching... Severe can cause serious complications such as intestinal obstruction, leg edema...
My case with such medicine is periodic deworming. can eliminate most worms.
However, as I said, taking the drug Fugacar does not stop the worms crawling out of the anus, this is a persistent, long-lasting symptom. Therefore, you need to visit a reputable medical facility or one of the hospitals of the Vinmec Health System nationwide to determine the type of parasite and the level of the disease, from which the doctor will give a complete treatment. points as well as future preventive measures.
Thank you for trusting and sending questions to Vinmec. Best regards!
