Mulpleta: Uses, indications and precautions when using


Mulpleta is used to treat people with chronic liver disease and certain blood disorders (low platelet levels) who are planning surgery or minor surgery. Having a low platelet count increases the risk of excessive bleeding during certain procedures. Mulpleta increases the body's production of platelets to help prevent excessive bleeding from the procedure.

1. Indications and contraindications of the drug Mulpleta

2. How to use Mulpleta


Read the medication instructions carefully from your doctor before you start taking Mulpleta and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions about how to use Mulpleta, ask your doctor.
Mulpleta is to be taken by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually once a day for 7 days in a row. Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to take and when to start taking it (usually 8 to 14 days before the procedure).
Your doctor will check your platelet count before you start taking Mulpleta and before the procedure. Use Mulpleta regularly to get the most benefit from it. To avoid forgetting to take your medicine, take it at the same time every day.

3. Side effects of the drug Mulpleta

Mulpleta can rarely cause blood clots (such as pulmonary embolism, stroke, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis). Products containing estrogen can also increase the risk of the disease. Before using Mulpleta, if you have any of these conditions, tell your doctor.

4. Measures to prevent side effects of Mulpleta

5. Mulpleta drug interactions


Drug interactions can change the way Mulpleta works or increase your risk of serious side effects. Tell your doctor a list of all the medicines you take (including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products). Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine while using Mulpleta, without your doctor's approval.

6. What to do if you overdose or forget to take Mulpleta?


If you or someone else has overdosed on Mulpleta and has severe symptoms such as fainting or difficulty breathing, call 911 immediately.
Laboratory and/or medical tests (such as platelet count, blood mineral levels) must be done before you start and while you are taking Mulpleta.
If you miss a dose of Mulpleta, take it as soon as you remember it on the same day. If you remember it the next day, skip the missed dose. Take your next dose of Mulpleta at the usual time, do not double the usual dose.

7. How to store Mulpleta


Store Mulpleta in its original package at room temperature away from light and moisture, do not store in the bathroom and keep it away from children and pets. Dispose of this medication appropriately when it has expired or is no longer needed by you.
