2.1 Effects Audogyl tablets are a combination of 2 main active ingredients, Spiramycin and Metronidazol, so they have the following pharmacological effects:
Spiramycin: this is an antibiotic belonging to the Macrolide group. Depending on the concentration of the drug in the tissue and in the serum, the effect of the active ingredient will vary from inhibiting bacteria to killing bacteria. The drug is especially effective on bacteria that are in the stage of cell division. Its effect is shown by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacterial cells, making bacterial strains unable to grow. The action spectrum of the drug is shown on Gram-positive bacteria strains, Coccus strains such as Pneumococcus, staphylococcus,...; strains of bordetella pertussis, corynebacteria... and had no effect on Gram-negative bacteria. Metronidazole: is an antibiotic of the Imidazol group with broad spectrum activity including parasites, amoeba, giardia, even anaerobic bacteria. The chemical structure of this substance includes a 5-nitro group, when entering the bacterial cell, it will transform into a toxic substance for bacterial cells by the mechanism of attaching to the twisted structure of DNA, causing damage to this structure. As a result, the bacteria die. The combination of these two compounds in one Audogyl tablet is extremely important, not only increasing the antibacterial activity of both active ingredients, but also helping to reduce the concentration of each substance in the drug, avoiding the risks. risk of overdose or increased undesirable effects.
