Overdose can cause severe peripheral neuropathy, which progresses from unsteadiness and numbness in the feet to numbness and clumsiness in the hands. 4.3. Drug interactions It is necessary to avoid using magnesium in combination with preparations containing calcium or phosphate salts, because they are both inhibitors of the absorption of magnesium in the small intestine. In cases where treatment with oral tetracycline is mandatory, the patient should take the two drugs at least 3 hours apart. Do not combine the drug with Levodopa, because Levodopa is inhibited by Vitamin B6.
