Dosage of the drug will depend on different diseases such as:
2.1. Major depressive disorder Venlafaxine extended-release capsules are recommended for use at a starting dose of 75 mg orally once daily. In cases where the patient does not respond to this initial dose, this may be increased to a maximum of 225 mg/day for moderate depression. Several studies have shown that patients with severe depression respond to a dose of 350 mg/day.
2.2. Generalized Anxiety Disorder As with major depressive disorder, the recommended starting dose of Venlafaxin extended-release capsules is 75 mg once daily. If there is no response, it can be increased to 225 mg/day and the patient should be monitored and evaluated throughout the treatment period.

Due to the large variability in clearance from each patient, individual dosing is required.
2.5. Use in patients with hepatic impairment In patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment, a 50% total daily dose of Venlafaxine should be reduced. In other cases, it may be necessary to reduce the dose of Venlafaxin by more than 50%.
2.6. How to properly discontinue Venlafaxine Dosage should be tapered whenever Venlafaxine treatment is discontinued. Through clinical trials with Venlafexin extended release, dose reduction order was achieved by reducing 75 mg/day for one week and the length of time needed was dependent on the specific disease, duration of treatment and individual patient response to treatment.
The above dosage is for reference only. Depending on the type of disease and the patient's ability to respond, the doctor will give the appropriate dose.
