E110, erythrosin lake red, PVP K30).
From the above ingredients, Kefcin 125mg is indicated for use to treat:
Respiratory tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria: Acute otitis media, pharyngitis, pneumonia, acute sinusitis, tonsillitis. Repeatedly, chronic bronchitis in the course of the course. Adults: Usual dose 250mg x 3 times/day.
Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, skin and soft tissue infections, lower urinary tract infections: 250–500mg x 2 times/day or 250mg x 3 times/day.
More serious infections: 500mg x 3 times/day. The maximum dose is 4g/day.
Dosage adjustment is required for patients with severe renal impairment:
Creatinine clearance 10–50 ml/min: 50% of the usual dose. Creatinine clearance <10ml/min: use 25% of the usual dose. Patients on hemodialysis: Use a starting dose of 250–1000 mg before hemodialysis and a maintenance dose of 250–50 mg every 6–8 hours, in between dialysis sessions. Elderly: Use the usual adult dose.

During the use of Kefcin, the following side effects may occur:
Common (> 1%): Measles rash, diarrhea or eosinophilia. Uncommon (0.1% < ADR < 1%): Positive direct Coombs test, leukopenia, lymphocytosis, nausea, vomiting, urticaria, pruritus, genital pruritus, vaginitis Candida infection . Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cephalosporins, especially cefaclor or penicillin. Long-term use of cefaclor may cause corneal colitis, with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis. People with severe renal impairment, renal function should be monitored if long-term treatment or when used with other drugs that affect kidney function (such as aminoglycosides, furosemide...); patients with phenylketonuria (due to the aspartame component). Transfusion cross-reactivity or the Coombs test in neonates whose mothers have received Kefcin 125 mg before birth may give a positive drug-induced result. Detection of urinary glucose by reducing agents has the potential for false-positive results. Use Kefcin 125mg with caution when driving and operating machinery. The concentration of cefaclor in breast milk is very low. The effect of Kefcin 125mg on breast-feeding children is not clear, but it should be noted when children have diarrhea, rash while breastfeeding while using Kefcin.
5. Drug interactions Kefcin 125mg
In patients taking warfarin, prothrombin time should be monitored and dose adjusted if necessary. Probenecid has the ability to inhibit the elimination of cefaclor in the serum. Concomitant use of Kefcin 125mg with aminoglycoside antibiotics or furosemide diuretics will increase nephrotoxicity.
