Uses of nisten-f

1. What is Nisten-f and what is it used for?

Nisten f is a cardiovascular medication used to treat:
Symptomatic stable angina (causing chest pain) in patients with a heart rate above or equal to 70 beats per minute. Nisten-f is used in patients who are intolerant or unable to take beta-blockers. Furthermore, Nisten-f can also be used in combination with beta-blockers in patients not fully controlled by beta-blockers. Chronic heart failure in patients with heart rate above or equal to 75 beats/min. Nisten-f should be used in combination with standard therapy, including beta-blocker therapy, or when beta-blockers are contraindicated or not tolerated.
Thus, the heart rate lowering effect of Nisten-f or Ivabradine will help:
Control and reduce the number of angina attacks by reducing the heart's oxygen demand Improve cardiac function and survival in patients chronic heart failure.

2. Things to know before taking Nisten-f

Do not use Nisten-f in the following cases:
Allergy to Ivabradine or any other ingredient in the drug Resting heart rate before treatment is too slow (less than 70 beats per minute) Being in cardiogenic shock Confusion arrhythmia (sick sinus syndrome, sinoatrial block, third-degree AV block) Having a heart attack Very low blood pressure Unstable angina Heart failure recently worsened Heart rate individually set by a pacemaker Serious liver problems Are taking medicines to treat fungal infections (such as Ketoconazole, Itraconazole), Macrolide antibiotics (such as Josamycin, Clarithromycin, Telithromycin or oral Erythromycin), medicines to treat infections HIV (such as Nelfinavir, Ritonavir) or Nefazodone (medicine for depression) or Diltiazem, Verapamil (used for high blood pressure or angina).
In addition, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nisten-f if you have the following symptoms:
Heart rhythm disturbances, such as irregular heartbeat, palpitations, chest tightness or chronic atrial fibrillation or abnormality on the electrocardiogram (ECG) called “long QT syndrome” Fatigue, dizziness or shortness of breath Recent stroke Severe heart failure or heart failure with conduction block Chronic eye retina

3. How to use Nisten-f?

Always take Nisten-f exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has prescribed. Check with your doctor if you are unsure.
Nisten-f should be taken with meals. 5mg tablets can be divided into equal doses.
If Nisten-f is indicated for stable angina, the starting dose should not exceed one Nisten-f 5 mg tablet twice daily. If symptoms of angina are still present and the dose is well tolerated at 5mg twice daily, the dose may be increased. Maximum maintenance dose of Nisten f 7.5mg twice a day.
If Nisten-f is indicated for chronic heart failure, the usual recommended starting dose is one nisten-f 5 mg tablet twice daily, increased by Nisten f 7.5 mg twice daily.
The usual medication is one tablet in the morning and one in the evening. In some cases (eg: If the patient is 75 years of age or older), the doctor may prescribe half the dose, i.e. half a 5mg tablet in the morning and one 5mg tablet in the evening.
If you accidentally take more Nisten-f medicine than prescribed, you may feel short of breath or tired because your heart slows down too much, report it to your doctor immediately.
If you forget to take Nisten-f, take your next dose at the usual time without doubling the dose.
Because the treatment of angina or chronic heart failure with Nisten-f is usually lifelong, do not suddenly stop taking it without a doctor's prescription.

4. Possible side effects when taking Nisten-f

Like all medicines, Nisten-f can cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
The most common adverse reactions to Nisten-f that are dose-dependent and related to cardiovascular function include:
The visual luminescence described as a halo, the colored flashes or many unusual images are observed. Symptoms usually occur within the first two months of treatment. Excessively slow heart rate Abnormally fast heartbeat or arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation) QT interval prolongation on electrocardiogram Uncontrolled blood pressure Headache, dizziness Blurred vision (cloudy vision)
In short, Nisten-f contains ivabradine as an active ingredient. This is a new antiarrhythmic drug for the symptomatic treatment of stable angina and chronic heart failure. Because of the effects on heart rate, while taking the drug, patients need to know how to monitor their own heart rate at home and notify the doctor as soon as they see abnormal signs for timely adjustment.
