Sotig 40 is indicated for the following cases:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease; Inflammation of the esophagus due to reflux; Healed esophagitis to prevent recurrence (long-term use); Eradicate Helicobacter pylori ; Heal and prevent recurrence of duodenal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori; Patients need continuous non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) treatment and prevention of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer caused by taking NSAID drugs; Prolonged treatment after intravenous prophylaxis of peptic ulcer rebleeding; Zollinger Ellison syndrome.

Sotig 40 is used orally.
Dosage is as follows:
Treatment of duodenal ulcer: Dosage of 20mg Esomeprazo/day x 2-4 weeks; Gastric ulcer and reflux esophagitis: Dosage of 20mg Esomeprazo / day x 4-8 weeks; Esomeprazo 40mg/day may be increased in patients resistant to other therapies; Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: 60 mg Esomeprazo/day; Prophylaxis of recurrent gastric and duodenal ulcers 20-40mg Esomeprazo/day. If the patient misses a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose of Sotig 40 to compensate.

Do not use Sotig 40 for patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Esomeprazole, Benzimidazole subclass or any other drug in the formula.

Possible interactions when combining Sotig 40 with some of the following drugs:
Esomeprazole inhibits CYP2C19 (Diazepam, Imipram, Citalopam, Imipramine, Phenytoin, Clomipramine...) the concentration of these drugs in the blood plasma can be increase and need to reduce dose; There are no accurate reports of interactions occurring when taking the drug with other antibiotics, medicinal herbs or supplements.
