1. What does Epicta do?


Epicta 60 is a drug whose main ingredient is Etoricoxib, used to treat the following cases:
Treatment of acute and chronic signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis; Treatment of ankylosing spondylitis; Treatment of acute gouty arthritis; Relief of acute and chronic pain; Treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.

2. Instructions on how to use Epicta 60


How to use: Epicta 60 is taken orally and taken before or after meals. The drug may work faster if taken on an empty stomach.
Reference dosage:
Osteoarthritis: Take 30mg (1⁄2 Epicta 60 tablets) x 1 time/day. If symptom relief is not observed, the dose may be increased to 60 mg (1 Epicta 60 tablet) once daily. If there is still no significant symptom relief, consideration should be given to switching to another treatment modality; Rheumatoid arthritis: Oral recommended dose 90mg/time/day; Acute gout attack: Take the recommended dose of 120mg (2 Epicta tablets) x 1 time / day. Note that use only during the period of acute gout symptoms. Do not use the drug continuously for more than 8 days; Ankylosing spondylitis: Oral recommended dose 90mg/time/day; Elderly: No dose adjustment of Epicta 60 is required for elderly patients; Patients with liver failure: Do not take more than 60mg/time/day. Maybe even consider reducing the dose to 30mg (1⁄2 Epicta 60 tablets)/time/day; Patients with renal impairment: No dose adjustment is required if the patient has a creatinine clearance >30ml/min. Epicta should be contraindicated in patients with a clearance <30ml/min. Children: Epicta is contraindicated in children under 16 years of age.

3. Side effects of the drug Epicta 60


During treatment with Epicta 60, users may experience the following problems:

4. Note when using Epicta 60


Contraindicated using Epicta 60 for the following cases:
Patients with hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the drug (especially Etoricoxib); Peptic ulcer disease progression; Severe liver failure; Severe kidney failure; Severe heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension; Ischemic heart disease ; Cerebrovascular disease; Peripheral artery disease ; Children under 16 years old; Pregnant women; Women who are breastfeeding. Effects on the gastrointestinal tract: Risk of complications in the gastrointestinal tract (ulcers, perforation or bleeding) blood). Therefore, patients should be informed of the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if Epicta is used concomitantly with another NSAID, or if the patient has a history of gastrointestinal disease, such as ulceration, gastrointestinal bleeding; Effects on the cardiovascular system: Etoricoxib may increase the risk of cardiovascular complications with the dose and duration of exposure. Therefore, the drug should be used for the shortest time and the lowest effective dose. Patients in high-risk groups such as high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, smoking, diabetes... should only use this drug after careful consideration; Renal Effects: Etoricoxib may reduce prostaglandin formation and thereby impair renal function. Renal function should be monitored if the patient has pre-existing risk factors such as: renal failure, heart failure or cirrhosis; Effects on the liver: For patients with liver dysfunction, ever having abnormal liver function test results, if monitoring shows signs of liver failure or continuously having abnormal test results, it is necessary to consider prompting a change in treatment. 5. Epicta 60 drug interactions


Some drugs that may interact with Epicta include:
Oral anticoagulants: Patients taking oral anticoagulants should be closely monitored for INR of prothrombin time, especially during the first days of treatment with Epicta 60 or when the dose is changed; Diuretics, angiotensin IÏ inhibitors and ACE inhibitors: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may decrease the effectiveness of diuretics and other antihypertensive agents. In some patients with impaired renal function, concomitant administration of Epicta 60 with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors or angiotensin II inhibitors or cyclooxygenase inhibitors may increase the decline in renal function, possibly even leading to renal failure. to acute renal failure (usually reversible); Acetylsalicylic acid: Concomitant use of Etoricoxib with low-dose acetylsalicylic acid may increase the incidence of gastrointestinal ulcers and other complications. It is not recommended to use both types at the same time to prevent cardiovascular disease; Cyclosporin and tacrolimus: Although this interaction has not been studied with etoricoxib, concomitant administration of Cyclosporin or tacrolimus with any other NSAIDs may potentiate the nephrotoxic effects of Cyclosporin or Tacrolimus.
