Assoc. Nguyen Tan Cuong has 42 years of working experience in the field of Gastroenterology, Liver - Bile - Pancreas.

He has extensive experience in the treatment of digestive diseases. Especially, Dr. Cuong was the first person in Vietnam to have laparoscopic cholecystectomy in 1992. He also made an impressive mark in his career when he collaborated with the liver transplant team of Cho Ray Hospital with the doctors of ASan Hospital - Korea successfully performed the first liver transplant for adults in the southern provinces.

In his admirable medical career, he not only persistently accumulated knowledge through specialized courses such as Fellow in Laparoscopic Surgery, Liver Transplantation, and General Surgery in Vietnam, Korea, and the United States, but also recognized as a banyan tree in the health sector with contributions to scientific research and publishing hundreds of books, newspapers and magazines.

Assoc. Cuong has devoted his life to the cause of medicine in the country. He is trusted to hold many key positions at leading medical institutions such as Lecturer, Head of Department of Surgery, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City; Deputy Department of Surgery, Head of the Department of General Liver - Gallbladder - Pancreatic Surgery at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. HCM.
