Ebastin is an antagonist to histamine at the H1 receptor, this active ingredient is long-acting and selective. After oral administration, Ebastin will be rapidly absorbed and converted into Carebasin - this substance will give pharmacological activity. After a single oral dose of Cebasin 20 containing Ebastin 20 mg, peak plasma concentrations of Ebastin were 2.8 ng/ml in 1-3 hours and of Carebasin 157 ng/ml. The half-life of the metabolite Carebasin is 15-19 hours, and 66% of Carebastin will be eliminated primarily in the urine as a conjugated metabolite.

Cebastin 20 is indicated for use in the following cases:
Treatment of allergic rhinitis (seasonal allergic rhinitis or perennial allergic rhinitis), with or without allergic conjunctivitis ; Treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Take the whole Cebastin 20 tablet with a glass of water, can be taken with or without food with the following dosage:
Patients with severe itching: Initially 20mg/day (1 Cebastin 20 tablet), then 10mg/day when itching has subsided; Treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis: 20mg/day; For people with mild to moderate hepatic impairment: only use up to 10 mg/day.
