From March 19 to April 21, 2017, Vinmec doctors and technicians participated in a Laboratory training program organized by Seegene Medical Foundation in Seoul, South Korea.

Training format: On-site practical training and theoretical instruction.
Training content:
Dr. Le Duy Cuong received training on:
- Multiplex PCR methods for respiratory, gastrointestinal, and reproductive pathogens.
- Advanced technologies for heavy metal, toxin, and trace element analysis: LC-MS/MS, GS-MS, ICP-MS, AAS.
- Immunological tests: Fluorescent immunoassay, NK activity, Quantiferon, FISH, specific IgE using automated systems.
- Newborn screening.
- Laboratory quality management.
- Laboratory management and operations: Operational models, management systems, and the LIS network system.
Bachelor, Technician Dong Van Viet received training on:
- Molecular biology techniques.
- Chromatography-mass spectrometry techniques for toxin and trace element analysis.
- Immunological tests: Fluorescent immunoassay, NK activity, Quantiferon, FISH, specific IgE using automated systems.
- Laboratory quality management.
- LIS network system and QC management software.

The training course, with its on-site practical learning format, was an ideal opportunity for Vinmec technicians to enhance their skills and expertise related to Laboratory work. The knowledge and skills acquired from the course provide a strong foundation for practical application in testing procedures at Vinmec hospitals.
