Cooperation for a Stronger Healthcare System
Nghe An is a large province with unevenly distributed population, and many border and mountainous areas still face difficulties in accessing healthcare services. In recent years, especially in 2025, a series of severe storms and floods have caused significant damage, destroying many medical facilities, with some local health stations completely swept away. The grassroots healthcare system has been under great pressure while the demand for medical care among local residents continues to rise.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding, Vinmec commits to accompanying Nghe An Friendship General Hospital in key areas including the transfer of medical expertise, advanced workforce training, scientific research, international collaboration, and support for community healthcare development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung – Director of the Nghe An Department of Health – stated: "The cooperation between Vinmec and Nghe An Friendship General Hospital helps us strengthen the grassroots healthcare system, enhance staff capacity, and create opportunities to access international technologies, processes, and standards. With a sustainable public–private partnership, Nghe An’s healthcare sector will continue to grow stronger, ensuring the health and well-being of over 3.5 million residents."
