Dr. Chu Thanh Son, MD, PhD, has many years of experience in pediatric internal medicine and pediatric critical care. He graduated in medicine from Hanoi Medical University during 2002–2008 and later completed his doctoral studies at Kanazawa University, Japan (2015–2019). Throughout his career, he has refined advanced skills including mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal circulation, targeted temperature management, continuous renal replacement therapy, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and other advanced pediatric critical care techniques.

Currently, Dr. Chu Thanh Son holds the role of Head of Pediatrics – Neonatology at Vinmec Smart City International Hospital. He sees and treats a wide range of pediatric internal and critical conditions, handling severe pediatric emergencies and providing intensive care to infants and children. In the academic realm, he is the author or co-author of various published works domestically and internationally such as Continuous veno-venous hemofiltration for treatment of enterovirus 71-induced fulminant cardiopulmonary failure: A case report and Newly emerged enterovirus-A71 C4 sublineage may be more virulent than B5 … He also delivers presentations in conferences on pediatric critical care and respiratory illnesses, e.g. rapid pathogen detection for severe community pneumonia in ventilated children. He is a member of the Vietnam Pediatric Association.
