Specialist Level II Dr. Khong Tien Dat is currently working in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at Vinmec Hai Phong International Hospital. He has many years of experience in imaging diagnostics, with a particular focus on advanced CT imaging techniques and image analysis. Dr. Dat underwent specialist training in CT imaging and image interpretation at Changi General Hospital in Singapore. Prior to joining Vinmec, he collaborated with and worked at several public and private hospitals in Northern Vietnam and Hanoi, including Thu Cuc Hospital, Hong Ngoc Hospital, Hoe Nhai Hospital, and Medilap.
In his daily practice, Dr. Dat provides services such as MRI of the brain and cerebral vessels to screen for congenital and acquired brain conditions, diagnosis of spinal degeneration, musculoskeletal pathologies from injury, inflammation, and degeneration, and MRI imaging for abdominal organs, prostate, and female reproductive organs. He also applies advanced techniques such as dynamic MRI, whole-body CT using 640 slices in multi-trauma cases, cancer screening, and disease staging.
Dr. Dat has led the research project titled “Imaging characteristics of bronchial arteries and the value of MSCT in patients with hemoptysis.” He is a member of the Vietnam Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Vietnamese Society of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Thanks to his dedication in clinical work and research, Dr. Dat has earned positive recognition from colleagues and the medical community, receiving commendations and professional acknowledgments.
