Lê Duy Cường, MD, PhD is currently Head of the Laboratory Department at Vinmec Phu Quoc International General Hospital.
He graduated as a Medical Doctor from Hanoi Medical University in 2010, then pursued a residency program in Medical Biochemistry, focusing on inborn errors of metabolism related to amino acids and organic acids. Continuing his academic journey, he completed his doctoral program at Taipei Medical University and successfully defended his PhD thesis in 2024.
During his tenure at Vinmec Times City International Hospital, Dr. Cường was the second-generation leader of the Biochemistry Unit, playing a key role in advancing professional expertise and expanding the technical portfolio from the very beginning. He implemented new laboratory services, upgraded systems, shortened turnaround time, and improved service quality. Under his leadership, the unit successfully established a Biochemistry Laboratory system accredited with ISO 15189.
At Vinmec Phu Quoc, Dr. Cường continues to serve as Head of the Laboratory Department, focusing on strengthening professional capacity, developing human resources, and leading major research projects, thereby contributing to the hospital’s scientific research capability.
