Associate Professor, PhD, MD Phạm Van Thuy has many years of experience in the fields of Pediatric Nutrition and General Internal Medicine. She has particular strengths in nutritional assessment, counseling, and treatment for children, adults, pregnant and breastfeeding women; as well as nutritional rehabilitation for patients during recovery and after surgery.

Dr. Phạm Van Thuy was conferred the academic title of Associate Professor in 2014. She previously served as a Pediatrician at the Leningrad Pediatric Medical University, Russian Federation; earned a PhD in Pediatrics from the Research Institute of Pediatrics, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences; and held leadership and specialist roles including Head of the Nutrition Outpatient Department, National Institute of Nutrition (Vietnam); Head of the Department of Nutrition, National Hospital for Tropical Diseases; and Nutrition Physician at Hanoi French Hospital.

Associate Professor Thuy has participated in the implementation of collaborative and research programs with international organizations such as GAIN, UNICEF, WHO, FAO, Save the Children, and UNDP, focusing on community-based nutrition interventions. She has also been actively involved in teaching and training in community nutrition and clinical nutrition at healthcare institutions, universities, and governmental agencies, and has successfully supervised seven postgraduate trainees (Specialist Level I and Specialist Level II/PhD). In addition, she has served as a speaker at numerous national and international professional conferences.

Associate Professor Thuy is the chief editor and co-author of six specialized textbooks and reference books, and has served as principal investigator for 11 scientific research projects at national and institutional levels. She is the author or co-author of 70 peer-reviewed publications published in reputable domestic and international journals.

She is an honorary member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (VietSPEN) and a distinguished member of the Vietnam Nutrition Association. She has received multiple Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Health and has been repeatedly recognized with the title of Emulation Soldier over many consecutive years.
