Master’s degree holder Dr. Ta Quang Hung currently serves as the Head of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Vinmec Smart City International Hospital. 

With many years of experience in anesthesiology and intensive care, Dr. Hung has held academic and leadership roles at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy and its hospital, including heading the Anesthesia–Critical Care Unit. 

His educational journey began with medical training at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy (2000–2006), followed by a Master’s specialization in Anesthesia and Critical Care at Hanoi Medical University (2010–2012), and currently he is undertaking Subspecialty Level II training in anesthesiology at Thai Nguyen. 

In his clinical practice, he provides anesthesia for pediatric patients, obstetric anesthesia with pain control during and after delivery, postoperative analgesia via medication or regional anesthesia under ultrasound guidance, and anesthesia for digestive, thoracic, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, trauma, and oncologic procedures. 

He also provides perioperative intensive care for patients with multiple trauma, septic shock, or intoxication. On the research and academic front, he has published four papers in domestic and international medical journals and contributed to the development of curricula for medical students and postgraduate trainees. 

He is a member of the Vietnam Association of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia. For his contributions to teaching, patient care, and research, Dr. Hung has received commendations and recognition from the medical community.
