Associate Professor, PhD, MD Vo Thi Hoang Lan is a leading ophthalmology specialist with over 40 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. She currently serves as Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City, and is actively involved in clinical examination and treatment at the University Medical Center Ho Chi Minh City.

She obtained her Medical Doctor (MD), Master of Medicine, and PhD in Medicine degrees from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City. During her advanced training, she completed a residency-equivalent program as an Interne des Hôpitaux (FFI) in France, where she was exposed to and updated on modern diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in ophthalmology.

Associate Professor Vo Thi Hoang Lan has particular expertise in the management of ocular inflammatory diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and laser therapy for retinal conditions, including retinal neovascularization, retinal tears, and retinal degeneration. She also applies advanced ophthalmic imaging techniques in clinical practice. In addition to her clinical and teaching roles, she is actively engaged in scientific research, with numerous publications in both national and international peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of ophthalmology.
