Fetal hypoxia can lead to conditions such as low birth weight, premature birth, malnutrition…, or, more seriously, developmental delay, depending on the severity of oxygen deficiency. After birth, brain hypoxia in newborns can cause high rates of disability and death, with over 25% of babies having brain damage and an increased risk of death at 18 months.

Lack of oxygen when sleeping, or sleep-related hypoxemia is the phenomenon of decreased blood oxygen and increased blood carbon dioxide levels. Sleep-related hypoxemia, if not diagnosed and treated in time, can lead to full-body oxygen deprivation, together with a series of metabolism disorders such as hypertension, myocardial infarction, occlusive stroke, brain hemorrhage…, or even sudden death.
