Uses of Egaldy

Egaldy drug belongs to the group of drugs used to treat eyes, ears, nose and throat. The drug is prepared for the user in the form of a solution of eye drops. So what is Egaldy and how is it used?

1. What is egaldy?

Egaldy medicine contains the main active ingredient Moxifloxacin in the form of Moxifloxacin HCl 25mg and excipients just enough for 1 tablet. The drug is packaged in the form of a box of 1 vial of 5ml.

2. Uses of Egaldy

Egaldy drug is indicated for use in the treatment of conjunctivitis caused by bacterial strains sensitive to moxifloxacin
Pharmacodynamic properties: Moxifloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with bactericidal effect. The bactericidal effect is due to the inhibition of topoisomerases II and IV, which are the main enzymes that control the topology of DNA and help with DNA replication, repair and replication.
Pharmacokinetic properties: Absorption: Moxifloxacin is well and rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Unaffected by feed and dairy products, absolute bioavailability is about 90%.
Distribution:
At a dose of 400 mg orally once a day, peak plasma concentrations occur after 0.5 to 4 hours. The mean trough concentration of the drug was 0.6mg/l. With tissue concentrations often exceeding those in blood, moxifloxacin is widely distributed throughout the body. The protein binding rate in the blood averages about 50% and is independent of concentration. Metabolism: Moxifloxacin is metabolised by a conjugate mode. With sulfate accounting for about 38% of the dose, is excreted mainly in the feces. Approximately 14% of an oral or intravenous dose is converted to the conjugated form of glucuronide, which is completely excreted in the urine.
Excretion: Approximately 12 hours is the plasma half-life. Approximately 45% of an oral or intravenous dose of moxifloxacin is excreted unchanged.

3. Dosage and how to use Egaldy

How to use: The drug is used by eye drops, Users screw in to create a dropper hole.
