Ingredients
A pack of 3g powdered medicine includes:
Spiramycin 750,000 IU. Excipients are enough for 1 pack.

2.1 Effect of Spiramycin
Spiramycin belongs to the group of Macrolide antibiotics, the mechanism of action of the drug is to act on the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome and prevent the bacteria from synthesizing proteins.
Spiramycin has a broad spectrum of activity against both gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive bacteria and some other bacteria. Some gram-positive bacteria are affected by spiramycin such as: cocci, bacilli (Staphylococcus - staphylococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus - streptococcus...), some gram-negative bacteria such as: N.gonorrhoeae - gonococcal, H.influenza - gram-negative cocci.
At serum concentrations, the drug is bacteriostatic, but when reaching concentrations in tissues, the drug can be bactericidal. Spiramycin is considered to be the drug of second choice for the treatment of infections of the respiratory tract, skin and genitals caused by susceptible organisms.
2.2 Indications Rovas 0.75M is used in the following cases:
Infections in the respiratory tract, skin and genitals caused by bacteria sensitive to the drug. Prophylactic treatment of meningococcal meningitis when rifampicin is contraindicated. Prophylaxis of congenital Toxoplasma infection during pregnancy. Prophylaxis of recurrent acute rheumatic fever in patients allergic to penicillin. 2.3 How to use - Dosage How to use:
Take the drug at least 2 hours before a meal or 3 hours after a meal because food reduces the bioavailability of the drug. Use in combination or alternating with pyrimethamine/sulfonamide regimens may achieve better results. Using Rovas 0.75M must follow the entire course of treatment or as directed by a doctor. Dosage:
Follow the doctor's prescription. The recommended dosage is given as follows:
Treatment dose: + Children: Take 150,000 IU/kg x 2-3 times/day.
+ Children under 10kg: Take 1-2 sachets x 2-3 times/day.
+ Children from 10-20kg: Drink 2-4 sachets x 2-3 times/day.
Prophylaxis of encephalitis caused by Meningococcus strains. + Children: Take 75,000 IU/kg x 2 times/day for 5 days.
Prophylaxis of congenital Toxoplasma infection during pregnancy: 9,000,000 IU/day, divided into several doses for 3 weeks, giving a booster dose every 2 weeks. 2.4 How to deal with missed dose, overdose Overdose : No reports in case of overdosage have been found. Notify your doctor immediately if you experience an adverse reaction to an overdose.
Missed dose : Take the replacement dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Side effects have been recorded with the following frequencies:
Common:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia (when taken orally).
Uncommon:
+ Whole body fatigue, nosebleeds, sweating, feeling of chest compression.
+ Temporary paresthesia, dysesthesia, grogginess, pain, muscle and joint stiffness, hot flushes (when administered intravenously).
+ Digestive: Acute colitis, skin rash, urticaria.
Rare:
Anaphylactic reactions, superinfection due to long-term use.
Inform the doctor about the unwanted effects encountered when using the drug for guidance on reasonable and timely treatment.

Using Rovas 0.75M concurrently with oral contraceptives loses the effect of preventing conception.
Food reduces the effect of the drug, should take the drug 2 hours before meals and 3 hours after meals.

Contraindications
Do not use Rovas 0.75M for those who are hypersensitive to Spiramycin, erythromycin or any other ingredients in the drug.
Caution
Use on pregnant women and nursing mothers
Pregnant women: The drug crosses the placenta but with lower concentrations in the fetal blood than in the mother's blood. The drug does not cause complications when used in pregnant women. Lactation: The drug is excreted in breast milk in high concentrations, so breast-feeding should be discontinued when taking the drug. People who drive and operate machines
