For pregnant women, use at least until the end of pregnancy at the same dose as for latent iron deficiency. Treatment of latent iron deficiency: the usual dose is 5-10ml/day (50-100mg iron). Treatment usually lasts for 1-2 months. Pregnant women take 10ml/day (100mg iron). Prophylactic treatment for pregnant women: dose 5-10ml/day (50-100mg iron). Symptoms may be encountered in iron overdose such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, black stools... In severe cases, coma, hypotension, hypothermia, convulsions...

6. Drug interactions


The absorption of iron can be inhibited by magnesium trisilicate, antacids and foods such as eggs and milk.
