1. Uses of the drug Tabrison


What is Tabrisone ? Tabrison medicine 50mg has the main ingredient is Eperison HCl 50mg content. Eperisone hydrochloride is effective in ameliorating symptoms associated with hypertonia (by cutting off the pathological spirals of rhabdomyolysis). The component Eperisone hydrochloride mainly acts on the spinal cord, reducing spinal reflexes, producing skeletal muscle relaxation. Besides, the vasodilator effect of this ingredient increases circulation. Clinically proven, Eperisone hydrochloride is effective in improving symptoms of hypertonia such as headache-type muscle spasms, dizziness, shoulder stiffness, cervical spondylosis, low back pain, and spasticity of the muscles. Tabrison is indicated in the following cases:
Treatment of spastic paralysis due to cerebrovascular disease, cervical spondylosis, spastic spinal cord paralysis, postoperative sequelae (including cerebrospinal tumours), post-traumatic sequelae (head injury, spinal cord injury), cerebral palsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spinal degeneration, cerebrovascular disease, other cerebrospinal diseases; Improve symptoms of hypertonia for people with cervical spondylitis, shoulder and lumbar periarthritis. Tabrisone is not indicated for people who are sensitive to the ingredients/excipients contained in the drug.

2. Usage and dosage of Tabrisone


Tabrison is taken by mouth, should be taken whole and taken after each main meal. Recommended dosage of tabrison 50mg: 1 tablet x 3 times/day. Dosage should be adjusted according to age and severity of symptoms (as directed by the physician).
If a dose of Tabrisone is forgotten, the patient can take it as soon as he remembers. If it's almost time for your next dose, you can skip the missed dose, don't make up for it, and consult your doctor before making a decision.
When taking Tabrison drug overdose and having unusual symptoms, the patient should stop taking the drug, immediately notify the doctor or call an ambulance immediately for appropriate intervention measures. Overdose symptoms usually include headache, vomiting, nausea, epigastric pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, irritability, coma, disorientation, dizziness, drowsiness, ringing in the ears, convulsions, diarrhea (rare). In the event of poisoning, the patient may experience acute kidney failure and liver damage.
Treatment is symptomatic treatment. Within 1 hour of ingestion of a toxic dose, activated charcoal may be considered. Within 1 hour of a life-threatening overdose, gastric lavage may be considered. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure good urine output, closely monitor liver and kidney function. Patients should be monitored for at least 4 hours after taking an overdose. If seizures are frequent or prolonged, treatment with intravenous diazepam is required. Other measures may be applied depending on the clinical condition of the patient.

3. Tabrisone side effects

Liver and kidney dysfunction, hemoglobin value or abnormal red blood cell count; rash, psychiatric symptoms (insomnia, headache, feeling drowsy), feeling of numbness or spasticity, tremor of the extremities; Digestive symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, loss of appetite, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain,...; Symptoms of urinary disorders. Usually, the side effects of the drug go away when the medication is stopped. In case of serious side effects, the patient should immediately notify the doctor for appropriate advice and treatment.

4. Be careful when using Tabrison


Some notes patients need to remember before and while using Tabrison:
Reduce dose or stop taking Tabrison if you experience drowsiness, dizziness, weakness or other symptoms; Use caution when using Tabrison in patients with liver dysfunction; Tabrison drug contains lactose excipients, so it should not be used for people with galactose intolerance, glucose - galactose malabsorption, Lapp - lactase deficiency; Do not drive or operate machinery while taking Tabris. Use caution when using Tabrison in: Elderly people, children under 15 years old, patients with liver failure, kidney failure, people with hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug, subjects with myasthenia gravis, stomach ulcers, hepatic coma. ,...; Consider, consult with your doctor before taking Tabrison in pregnant and nursing women. For nursing mothers, if taking the drug, breast-feeding must be discontinued.

5. Tabrison drug interactions


Drug interactions can affect the effectiveness of the drug or increase some side effects.
