Pantoprazole is an inhibitor of gastric acid secretion. The drug is often used in diseases associated with increased gastric acid secretion such as peptic ulcer disease, reflux or other disorders of increased acid secretion. In addition, the drug is also used to protect the stomach when using drugs with a high risk of causing gastric ulcers in high-risk patients (elderly patients, patients with a history of previous gastric disease). ...).

The usual dose of pantoprazole is 20-40 mg/day. In some cases, the dose can be increased to 240 mg/day, however, careful monitoring and evaluation is required by a physician.

The drug should be taken 1-2 times a day, about 30 minutes before breakfast or before going to bed. Tablets should be swallowed whole, without crushing, breaking or chewing. Improper use of the drug can affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
Should take the medicine regularly every day as prescribed by the doctor. If you forget to take your medicine, take it again as soon as you remember. If it is too close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose to take today's dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

The majority of patients use pantoprazole without any side effects. However, like all medications, some people may experience side effects from taking them.
