Anikef Sterile drug with the main ingredient is Cefuroxime sodium - a 2nd generation Cephalosporin antibiotic.
Anikef Sterile is antibacterial through inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to essential proteins on the wall. cells, thereby preventing the multiplication of bacteria. The drug has a broad spectrum of activity against many common pathogenic Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, including strains of beta-lactamases. Anikef Sterile is indicated for the treatment of the following infections

Monitor for symptoms of pseudomembranous colitis while taking Anikef Sterile. There are no studies demonstrating the toxicity of Anikef Sterile in embryos and children. How to use:
Anikef Sterile is prepared as a powder for injection. Mix the drug with a suitable solvent for intramuscular or intravenous injection. Dosage:
Common bacterial infections in adults: 750mg (1 vial) x 2-3 times/day. Intramuscular or intravenous injection; Severe infections in adults: From 750mg - 1.5g (1-2 vials) x 2-3 times/day. Intravenous injection. Maximum dose 3-6g/day x 10 days. Patients with renal failure glomerular filtration rate 10-20mL/min: 750mg (1 vial) x 2 times/day. Intravenous injection. Patients with renal failure glomerular filtration rate <10mL/min: 750mg (1 vial)/day. Intramuscular or intravenous injection. Common bacterial infections in children > 3 months: Dose 50-100mg/kg/day, divided into 2-3 times. Intravenous injection. Severe infections in children: 100mg/kg/day, divided into 2-3 times. Intravenous injection. Bone and joint infections in children: 150mg/kg/day, divided into 2-3 times. Intravenous injection. Meningitis in children: 200-240 mg/kg/day, divided into 2-3 times. Anikef Sterile can interact with some drugs when taken together as follows:
Sodium bicarbonate and ranitidine reduce the effect of Anikef Sterile, should be taken at least 2 hours apart. High doses of probenecid resulted in decreased elimination of Anikef Sterile, higher plasma concentrations and a longer duration of action. Combination of Anikef Sterile and aminoglycoside drugs, potent diuretics increases the risk of nephrotoxicity. Using alcohol, tobacco, and alcoholic foods while taking medication can change the effect of the drug.
