Question
Hello, doctor! I am taking daily contraceptive pills (the 28-pill type). I took the first 7 pills correctly, but starting from the 8th pill, I mistakenly took them in reverse order: pill 14, 13, 12... until I finished the second row of pills and realized my mistake. During the 7 pills I took incorrectly, I had intercourse twice. Doctor, could you tell me if this significantly increases the likelihood of pregnancy? I would greatly appreciate your advice. Thank you!

Answer
Hello! The 28-pill daily contraceptive pack contains 21 active contraceptive pills with the same composition and dosage, and 7 placebo (dummy) pills. Therefore, even though you took the wrong pills starting from the 8th pill, they still provided contraceptive protection as usual.
