1. What medication is Glotizin?

•    Seasonal allergic rhinitis or perennial allergic rhinitis;

2. Instructions for using Glotizin

Glotizin 10mg needs to be used according to the doctor's instructions, or the patient may refer to the dosage references below:

•    Children over 6 years old and adults: Take the usual dose - 1 Glotizin 10mg tablet per dose;
•    Patients with impaired liver function: No dose adjustment is needed, except in cases of liver failure combined with moderate to severe kidney failure, in which case the dosage should be adjusted.

•    Patients with impaired kidney function: The dosage will be adjusted by the doctor based on kidney function response. Specifically:

•    Creatinine clearance (Clcr) ≥ 80ml/min: Take 1 tablet once a day;
•    Creatinine clearance (Clcr) 50 - 79ml/min: Take the usual dose as in healthy individuals;
•    Creatinine clearance (Clcr) 30 - 49ml/min: Take 5mg once a day;
•    Creatinine clearance (Clcr) 11 - 49ml/min: Take 5mg once every 2 days;
•    End-stage renal failure or on dialysis (< 10ml/min): Not allowed to use.

Usage: Take orally, during or without meal, with an adequate amount of water. 

3. Side effects of Glotizin

In some cases, Glotizin 10mg may cause certain adverse effects, such as:

•    Common side effects: Mild gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, nausea.
•    Less common side effects: Flushing, increased salivation, loss of appetite or increased appetite, urinary retention.
•    Rare side effects: Severe hypotension, anaphylactic shock, hepatitis, cholestasis, glomerulonephritis, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia.

•    Bronchodilator medication Theophylline 400mg: This medication may reduce the clearance of Cetirizine.
•    Alcohol and central nervous system depressants: These can enhance drowsiness, reduce alertness, and pose a danger when performing tasks that require concentration.
