1. What is Infulgan?
Each bottle of Infulgan 100 will include the following ingredients: Paracetamol concentration 10mg/ml (equivalent to 1g/100ml) and a sufficient amount of excipients in 1 bottle.
Paracetamol in Infulgan is a very familiar active ingredient that is frequently used to reduce fever and/or pain relief. The exact mechanism of action of Paracetamol has not been determined, but it is most likely related to central and peripheral activities.
The analgesic effect of Infulgan usually appears within 5 to 10 minutes after taking the drug, the highest analgesic effect is achieved within 1 hour and lasts from 4 to 6 hours. The antipyretic effect will appear within 30 minutes after starting to take Infulgan with the antipyretic effect lasting at least 6 hours.
2. Indications and contraindications of Infulgan
With the above effects of Paracetamol, Infulgan is often indicated for the short-term adjustment of moderate pain, especially post-operative pain and fever reduction in emergency cases, especially when it is not possible to reduce the use of other routes of administration. However, Infulgan should not be used in patients with the following problems (contraindications):
- Patients with an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to Paracetamol or Propacetamol hydrochloride (precursor of Paracetamol) or any ingredient in Infulgan;
- Patients with severe cellular failure.
3. Dosage, usage of Infulgan
Infulgan product is only used by intravenous infusion. This product is not suitable for purchase or use for any other purpose. The infusion technique of Infulgan drug is only performed by qualified medical staff.
The recommended dosage of Infulgan is as follows:
- The reference substance has a value of 10-15mg/kg/time;
- The minimum time between each Infulgan infusion should be at least 4 hours apart and not injected more than 4 times in 24 hours;
- Note that the minimum interval between each dose of Infulgan in patients with severe renal failure is 6 hours.
Forgetting Infulgan is very rare when the drug is used and supervised by medical staff. If for any reason the use of Infulgan is missed, the patient should immediately notify the doctor for instructions.
Infulgan overdose and treatment:
- Symptoms of Paracetamol overdose usually appear within the first 24 hours, including nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, pallor, abdominal pain. In particular, patients are at high risk of complete and irreversible liver cell injury leading to liver failure, metabolic acidosis or encephalopathy and obesity can lead to coma and death;
- Infulgan overdose treatment: Patients need to immediately notify their doctor if they find that they have used more Infulgan than the report so that timely response measures can be taken.
4. Side effects of Infulgan

- Rare: Low blood pressure, increased levels of liver transaminases;

6. Precautions when using Infulgan
- Pregnant women: Clinical experience with intravenous Paracetamol in this population is limited. Therefore, Infulgan should only be used during pregnancy after a careful assessment of the benefits and risks.
- Breastfeeding women: Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk in small amounts, however, Infulgan should only be used for this population when prescribed by a physician.

- Patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance ≤ 30mL/min);

- Dehydrated people.
