3. Uses of Pantogen 250ml

Pantogen 250ml is indicated for:

  • Postoperative patients requiring supplementation of B vitamins, vitamin C, and glucose due to conditions such as:
    • Malignant tumors
    • Burns
    • Fever
    • Thyroid toxicity
    • Peritonitis
    • Infected wounds
  • Patients with alcohol dependence or gastrointestinal disorders who cannot easily swallow can receive intravenous supplementation of B vitamins, vitamin C, and glucose.

Pantogen 250ml is a high nutritional solution, containing adequate amounts of vitamin C, B vitamins and glucose to meet the physiological needs of the patient's body.   • Severe allergic reactions are rare.

4.4. Side Effects of Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6)

Prolonged use (>200 mg/day for over 2 months) may cause severe peripheral neuropathy.

Symptoms include:

  • Unsteady gait
  • Numbness in feet and hands
  • Clumsiness
  • Symptoms improve after stopping the medication, but some residual effects may remain.

4.5. Side Effects of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

Increased oxalate - urine, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal cramps, fatigue, flushing, headache, insomnia, drowsiness. Taking a dose of 1g daily or larger doses can cause diarrhea.

  • Anxiety, panic attacks
  • Glycosuria (sugar in urine)
  • Abnormal liver function
  • Prolonged prothrombin time
  • Hypoalbuminemia
  • Anaphylactic shock

Discontinue use and notify a physician if severe side effects occur.

5. Precautions When Using Pantogen 250ml

Due to its D-pantothenol content, patients requiring succinylcholine must wait at least 1 hour after Pantogen infusion before administration.

If neostigmine is required, it should be administered at least 12 hours after Pantogen infusion.
There are no reliable studies on the safety of Pantogen 250ml in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using Pantogen in these cases.
