  • Rare cases of prolonged cardiac repolarization and QT interval prolongation have been reported in patients taking azithromycin, increasing the risk of arrhythmias and torsades de pointes.
  • To prevent antibiotic resistance and maintain the effectiveness of azithromycin and other antibiotics, use the medication only for infections caused by susceptible bacteria.
  • The excipients in Azicine 250mg contain sucrose (saccharose). Therefore, patients with rare hereditary conditions such as fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency should not use this medication.
  • Azicine 250mg contains aspartame, which is a source of phenylalanine and may be harmful to patients with phenylketonuria (PKU).
  • Driving and operating machinery: No specific reports indicate that the drug affects these activities. However, caution is advised due to possible side effects such as fatigue, headache, dizziness, and drowsiness.
  • Pregnancy: There are no adequate studies on the use of azithromycin in pregnant women, so it should only be used when absolutely necessary.
