1. Centella Asiatica

Centella Asiatica not only helps detoxify the liver, but it also beautifies the skin and prevents cardiovascular diseases very well. If you have liver heat, drinking 3-4 glasses of pennywort juice per week can be a fairly effective substitute for liver detoxifying drugs. However, prolonged consumption for more than a month can lead to digestive issues.

2. Green tea leaves

According to traditional medicine, green tea leaves are highly effective in cooling the liver and detoxifying the body. This is because green tea leaves contain numerous natural antioxidants, which not only help cool the liver but also relieve stress, fatigue, eliminate toxins, and improve skin radiance. However, it is important to note that you should not drink green tea on an empty stomach, as it can be harmful to your stomach.

3. Plantago major 

You can use plantain leaves to cool the liver by cooking them with lean meat or boiling them to make a detoxifying drink. However, pregnant women and individuals with weak kidneys should carefully consider using these leaves!

4. Artichoke flowers

Not only cooling the liver, artichoke also helps laxative, diuretic, good for liver, to reduce cholesterol. Whether fresh or dried, both forms of artichoke are effective remedies to help detoxify the liver. If using fresh tea, you should only use 10 to 20g for boiling with water each day, or 5 to 10g for dried tea. For packaged tea, it is sufficient to drink 2-3 bags per day. Like the other leaves, you should not overuse it, as drinking too much will not have a good effect and may cause other side effects.

5. Dandelion

The medicinal properties of this plant help inhibit the development of viruses causing hepatitis and boost the body's immunity.However, prolonged use is not recommended, as it may cause liver cooling, potentially leading to liver fibrosis.

8. Eclipta prostrata leaf

Falling under the category of herbs with liver-cooling properties, Eclipta prostrata leaf (commonly referred to as "nhọ nồi" in Vietnamese) is a well-known remedy in traditional Eastern medicine. This herb is highly effective in reducing fever and promoting liver detoxification. Experts suggest that Eclipta prostrata helps purify the body, alleviates symptoms associated with excessive heat in the heart and kidneys, and supports liver function. Additionally, it is commonly used to treat liver disorders and jaundice.
