The Thyroid Pathology Center at Vinmec Times City International General Hospital was established in November 2020. Throughout its development, alongside the hospital’s growth, the Center represents one of the new advancements of the Vinmec Healthcare System in general, and Vinmec Times City in particular, to meet the increasing healthcare needs of patients.
The Center applies a multidisciplinary approach, integrating specialties such as internal medicine – endocrinology, diagnostic imaging, interventional thyroid imaging, pathology, head and neck surgery, oncology, nuclear medicine, psychology, rehabilitation, genetics, etc., with the core principle of patient-centered care and individualized treatment plans to ensure optimal safety and effectiveness for patients.
The Thyroid Center is a national pioneer in promoting early thyroid cancer screening and detection. It is also at the forefront of applying advanced modern techniques, routinely performing minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating thyroid lesions. Especially notable is the use of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for treating differentiated thyroid microcarcinomas, a method that thoroughly eliminates cancerous nodules while preserving thyroid function to the greatest extent and improving patients' quality of life. The Center is steadily progressing toward achieving international standards.
