The Integrated Mental Healthcare Center (IMHC) is the first mental health facility established by the Vinmec Healthcare System. IMHC was founded with the mission of providing mental healthcare to the Vietnamese population and partner communities, adhering to international standards for service quality and professional expertise.
Overview

The Mental Healthcare Center at Vinmec was established and developed under the expert consultation of leading mental health organizations, including King's College London (UK), Western Sydney Local Health District (Australia), and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Expert

Currently, the center is honored to be led by Mr. Paul O’Halloran, a Clinical Psychologist and mental healthcare system management specialist with over 45 years of experience in the field.

Mr. Paul O’Halloran has worked in many prestigious institutions including Sydney and Wollongong Universities, Kings College London, The Nation Institute of Mental Health England and the Worl Health Organization (WHO). He is licensed by the Psychology Board of Australia and a full member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association MACPA.

  • Couples and Family Therapy.
  • Child Developmental Disorders: Screening, diagnosis, and therapy for developmental disorders in children.
  • Sleep Disorders: Diagnosis and treatment using both pharmacological (medication) and non-pharmacological methods.
  • Differential Diagnosis: Diagnosis to rule out physical illnesses, substance use, or medications causing psychiatric symptoms.
  • Psychiatric and Somatic Disorders: Diagnosis of psychopathological and psychosomatic disorders according to the DSM-5 diagnostic standard.
  • Medication Management: Prescription of treatment based on modern protocols, utilizing new-generation medications that are safer and have fewer side effects (as approved by the FDA and following protocols from NICE, APA, CANMAT).
  • Advanced Diagnostic Equipment: Application of high-tech medical devices for diagnosis: MRI, PET, EEG, and Polysomnography (sleep study).
  • Advanced Treatment Equipment: Application of high-tech medical devices for treatment: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) machine.

Children under 12: Focusing on development disorders and learning challenges:

  • Developmental Disorders: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
  • Language and Learning Issues: Speech delay, learning disorders, dyslexia (reading disorder).

Other Concerns: Psychomotor developmental delay.

Adolescents (teens): Covering psychological issue during puberty, social challenges, mood disorders:
