On the 9th day after embryo transfer, my hCG test result was 85.46. Does this indicate pregnancy? Thank you.

Response:
Regarding the question, ‘Is an hCG level of 85.46 on the 9th day after embryo transfer indicative of pregnancy?’
In general, between days 8 and 14 post-embryo transfer, physiological signs may emerge that suggest either implantation success or failure. Successful implantation may be accompanied by symptoms of early pregnancy, such as nausea, abdominal cramping, elevated basal body temperature, fatigue, breast discomfort, and light vaginal bleeding. A positive urine hCG test (two lines) may be detected as early as day 8 or 9 post-transfer.
A serum beta-hCG concentration exceeding 25 IU/L at 14 days following embryo transfer indicates implantation and early pregnancy (successful implantation of the embryo). However, hCG levels can differ based on individual physiology and the number of successfully implanted embryos. If your beta-hCG level at 9 days post-transfer is elevated and accompanied by early gestational symptoms, implantation may have occurred. A repeat beta-hCG test on day 14 is recommended for confirmation.
If you have further concerns regarding your hCG level of 85.46 on the 9th day after embryo transfer, you can visit a hospital within the Vinmec Health System for further examination and consultation. Thank you for your inquiry. We wish you good health.
