1. What is Healit?

Healit is a dermatological drug. The main ingredient of Healit is Copolymer 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate, which helps form a polymer coating, similar to the mucosal layer, with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, thereby accelerating wound healing. Copolymer 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate has a high molecular structure and is not absorbed into the blood.

Dosage form: There are two forms: gel used to treat open wounds and suppositories used to treat anal fissures, support the treatment of hemorrhoids, ...

Packaging form: 5g tube (gel form) or box of 2 blisters, each blister contains 5 tablets (suppositories).

2. What is the effect of Healit?

Healit has the effect of quickly healing wounds according to the following mechanisms:

  • Creating a polymer barrier to prevent infection, and protect wounds: Healit forms a polymer membrane at the wound, which protects the wound from bacteria and other physical and chemical effects. In addition, Healit also reduces pain and bleeding symptoms of hemorrhoids, prevents secondary infection, protects granulation tissue, and shrinks wounds.
  • Prevent free radicals, and reduce wound healing time: free radicals will be formed during the inflammatory phase, but if they are excessively produced, they will inactivate the body's immune cells, harm healthy cells, and form tissue. Therefore, it will slow down the wound-healing process. Healit changes the structure of free radicals into stable nitroxide radicals. Therefore, it will bring the concentration of free radicals formed during the inflammatory phase back to normal.

Healit can be used for all ages, in the following cases:

  • Skin tears, skin abrasions

Instructions: Patients use Healit suppositories in the following steps:

  • Put the suppository in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to create a certain hardness

  • Put the medicine into the anus. You can use latex gloves, which will limit the introduction of bacteria from the outside during the procedure.

Here are 4 suggested positions for you to place the medicine more effectively:

  • Squatting: this position helps to widen the anus. Patients can push gently to stimulate the anus to open further. Then insert the pointed tip of the suppository, and continue to push deep until the entire pill is submerged in the anus.
  • Sit on the toilet: if the patient has difficulty squatting, can use this position. The patient sits on the toilet, pushes gently to widen the anus, and then places the medicine as in the first method.
  • Lying on the side: the patient lies on a side on the bed, one leg pulled up to widen the anus, or can be in a crawling position and spread both legs, then insert the medicine as above.
  • Bending: The patient bends as far forward as possible, then inserts the medicine as above.

5. What to do if patients overdose or miss a dose of Healit?

Missed dose: If the patient misses a dose, it may not affect the treatment process. However, if this happens many times, Healit will not work effectively and may affect the treatment such as prolonging the time. If you forget to apply or insert the medicine, take the next dose of medicine as planned. Do not increase the dose to compensate for the missed dose.

Overdose: Do not abuse or overdose during treatment. Currently, there are no reports of side effects when taking an overdose. However, you need to take the correct dose, be persistent, and not stop taking the medicine yourself.
