On January 22, 2025, VinUniversity, Vinmec, and PPD officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Vinmec, marking the beginning of a transformative partnership in clinical research and cell therapy development. This collaboration lays the foundation for groundbreaking advancements in healthcare and strengthens Vietnam’s position within the global clinical research community.
The agreement outlines a comprehensive framework to enhance clinical research capabilities. Vinmec and VinUni will play a pivotal role as part of PPD’s network of clinical sites, supporting PPD’s clients and facilitating connections with Vietnam’s leading research institutions. Their cell therapy research team will also be integrated into PPD’s global network of cell therapy researchers, driving patient-centered, evidence-based solutions in advanced research.
As an essential part of the partnership, PPD will provide access to its exclusive Cell Therapy Site-Coach™ on-site training program, strengthening Vinmec and VinUni’s capacity to realize their vision of becoming world-leading research institutions. In addition, the collaboration will extend to joint research initiatives, including grant proposal writing, manuscript development, and presentations at seminars and conferences. The parties will also work together to support health authorities and hospital partners with the latest developments in clinical research on cell therapy.
The designation of Vinmec and VinUni as part of PPD’s research site network further reinforces their leadership position in clinical research within the region. The partnership will also create opportunities for annual in-person meetings between the organizations to foster continuous improvement and communication.
