2. How to use and dosage of Acticarbine

How to use: Take Acticarbine with a small amount of water. Do not chew or break the tablet to ensure the effectiveness of the medication.

Dosage: Take 1-2 tablets, 3 times a day, before meals. Additionally, the doctor may adjust the dosage and duration of treatment depending on the patient’s health condition, the severity of digestive disorders, or poisoning.

Overdose: In case of an emergency or overdose, the patient should be taken to the nearest medical facility for treatment.

  • Activated charcoal can reduce the absorption of certain other medications. Therefore, patients should take Acticarbine at least 2 hours before other medications. However, if using fluoroquinolone antibiotics, the two medications should be taken approximately 4 hours apart;

  • Acticarbine, as an antidiarrheal medication, is used in cases of food poisoning. If poisoning occurs due to ingestion of strongly alkaline substances, acids, or petroleum products, patients should call for emergency assistance for timely intervention;
  • Prolonged use of Acticarbine may reduce the absorption of nutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, and beneficial enzymes.
