Inquiry
Hello Doctor,
I had my gallbladder removed one month ago. I would like to ask if it is safe to resume normal physical activity after one month? Should I avoid heavy labor? Also, is it necessary to avoid alcohol and beer? Thank you.

Hello,
Regarding your question, "Can I resume normal physical activity one month after gallbladder removal?", here is the answer:
One month after gallbladder removal, you can resume normal activities, but you should avoid physical exertion.
You can eat normally, but it is advisable to limit animal fats. Avoid coffee, stimulants, fried foods, or spicy ingredients like chili, garlic, and salt, as these can cause stomach pain or worsen constipation.
For patients after gallbladder surgery, it is recommended to avoid overeating at one time. Instead, divide meals into smaller portions over 4 weeks to help your body adapt to the absence of the gallbladder (which has been removed).
If you have further concerns regarding post-gallbladder removal activity, feel free to visit a hospital in the Vinmec Healthcare System for an examination. Thank you for your inquiry. Wishing you good health.
Regards!
