On June 9, Vinmec Central Park International General Hospital officially became the fourth hospital in Vietnam to be recognized as meeting the global JCI healthcare standards, achieving an almost perfect score of 9.84 out of 10.
Not only did Vinmec Central Park successfully meet the stringent requirements on its very first assessment, but it also set a record by obtaining JCI accreditation in the shortest time—just 15 months after commencing operations.
JCI (Joint Commission International) is the world’s most prestigious set of standards for assessing healthcare quality, focusing on ensuring patient safety and delivering the highest possible treatment and care outcomes. To achieve this “gold standard,” recognized in over 100 countries worldwide, Vinmec Central Park International General Hospital made significant efforts to meet 285 standards and 1,166 rigorous evaluation criteria.
In terms of facilities, Vinmec Central Park was recognized as one of the hospitals with the best infrastructure and equipment among those assessed by JCI in the Asia–Pacific region.
In terms of operations, JCI experts highly praised Vinmec Central Park for fully meeting international patient safety standards, minimizing the risk of infection, and respecting as well as safeguarding patient rights—ensuring that patients and their families feel fully assured in their healthcare experience.
In terms of professional expertise, although it has only been in operation since December 2015, Vinmec Central Park has already become one of the preferred choices for both Vietnamese patients and expatriates living in Ho Chi Minh City. The hospital has successfully treated numerous complex cases, particularly in cardiology, including severe congenital heart defects.
By meeting all these criteria, Vinmec Central Park not only passed JCI’s stringent requirements on its very first assessment with an almost perfect score of 9.84 out of 10, but also became the first hospital to achieve the accreditation in record time—just 15 months after commencing operations.
