GDVN – At the APAS & VAAS 2025 International Scientific Conference, the Vinmec Healthcare System and VinUni University contributed a total of 15 scientific reports, including 6 presented by resident doctors from VinUni. This clearly demonstrates the strong research capacity and high-quality clinical training of both institutions in the field of medicine in Vietnam.

This marks the first time a private hospital in Vietnam has successfully carried out a liver transplant for one of the youngest and lightest pediatric patients ever recorded. This achievement once again affirms Vinmec’s outstanding medical expertise and its seamless, professional coordination in performing highly complex organ transplants.

Vinmec Can Tho International General Hospital has successfully performed surgery on a 15-year-old girl with an ovarian tumor measuring up to 25 cm—about the size of a 7-month pregnancy.
