Uses of Ketoconazole 2

Ketoconazole 2 is indicated for use in the following cases:
Treatment of fungal diseases of the skin: systemic fungal infections (strabismus, ringworm), tinea pedis, inguinal fungus, hand fungus, foot fungus, ringworm (tinea versicolor), skin candidiasis and tinea versicolor. Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis caused by the fungus Pityrosporum ovale.

Ketoconazole 2 is a topical medication. The patient applies the drug to the infected skin and the surrounding skin.
Apply the drug 1-2 times a day. Duration of treatment is from 2-4 weeks, in severe cases, the drug can be used for up to 6 weeks. Treatment should continue for a sufficient period of time, for at least a few days after all symptoms disappear. Patients need to keep the treated area clean to avoid sources of infection or re-infection. In case the patient applies an overdose/high dose on the skin, some symptoms such as erythema, burning sensation, and edema may appear. However, these symptoms may disappear as soon as the drug is stopped on the skin. If poisoning is caused by ingestion of Ketoconazole 2 , symptomatic and supportive measures should be used.
In case of missed dose, make up for the missed dose as soon as possible when remembered. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the make up dose and apply it at your pre-scheduled time. Absolutely do not apply a layer of medicine that is too thick and large area, because skin irritation may occur.
